GSSSB Computer Proficiency Test 2017 Syllabus

Gujarat Gaun Seva Pasandgi Mandal (GSSSB) has announced the syllabus and exam schedule for the Computer Proficiency Test 2017. This test covers multiple posts including Additional Assistant Engineer, Tracer, Female Health Worker (FHW), Statistical Assistant, Research Assistant, Agriculture Assistant, Assistant Store Keeper, Province Youth Development Officer, Assistant Librarian, Compounder (Ayurved), Librarian, and Municipal Engineer.

Exam Schedule

The Computer Proficiency Test will be conducted from January 22-30, 2018, across different dates for various posts.

  • Additional Assistant Engineer (Advt. No. 100/2016-17): January 22, 2018
  • Tracer (Advt. No. 101/2016-17): January 24, 2018
  • Female Health Worker – FHW (Advt. No. 109/2016-17): January 22-23, 2018
  • Statistical Assistant (Advt. No. 103/2016-17): January 22, 2018
  • Research Assistant (Advt. No. 104/2016-17): January 24, 2018
  • Agriculture Assistant (Advt. No. 106/2016-17): January 22, 2018
  • Assistant Store Keeper (Advt. No. 110/2016-17): January 24-25, 2018
  • Ophthalmic Assistant (Advt. No. 120/2016-17): January 24, 2018
  • X-Ray Technician (Advt. No. 122/2016-17): January 24, 2018
  • Province Youth Development Officer (Advt. No. 128/2016-17): January 24, 2018
  • Assistant Librarian (Advt. No. 129/2016-17): January 24, 2018
  • Work Assistant (Advt. No. 132/2016-17): January 29, 2018

Test Pattern and Syllabus

Two different test patterns are followed based on the advertisement numbers:

Pattern A (50 Marks, 1 Hour)

For Advt. No. 100/2016-17, 101/2016-17, 109/2016-17 & 132/2016-17

  • Excel Spreadsheet: 10 Marks
  • Word Typing/Word Formatting (English): 10 Marks
  • Power Point: 10 Marks
  • Gujarati Typing: 10 Marks
  • Email (with attachments): 10 Marks

Pattern B (75 Marks, 1:15 Hours)

For Advt. No. 103/2016-17, 104/2016-17, 106/2016-17, 110/2016-17, 120/2016-17, 122/2016-17, 128/2016-17, 129/2016-17, 130/2016-17, 135/2016-17, 136/2016-17 & 137/2016-17

  • Excel Spreadsheet: 15 Marks
  • Word Typing/Word Formatting (English): 20 Marks
  • Power Point: 15 Marks
  • Gujarati Typing: 10 Marks
  • Email (with attachments): 15 Marks

Important Notes

  • The test will be conducted using Microsoft Office 2007 in Gujarati language with Shruti & Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool 3 font
  • The test language is English (except for Gujarati Typing test)
