Google Launches Crisis Response System for Cyclone Phailin

In October 2013, Google created a Crisis Response System for Tropical Cyclone Phailin in India. The system provided multiple options to help people affected by the cyclone.

Anyone could submit details to search for missing persons or provide information about someone. Google also shared Emergency Operation Centres’ contact numbers for various locations across India.
