UPSC CDS Exam-I 2015 Final Result Released

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published the final result for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination-I, 2015, conducted in February 2015. The result lists 190 candidates who have been finally selected for admission to prestigious defence training institutes.

Training Institutes and Courses

The selected candidates will join the 140th Course at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala; and the 199/16F/PC (Pre-Flying) Training Course at Air Force Academy, Hyderabad.

Vacancy Details

The government has announced a total of 277 vacancies across all three academies:

  • Indian Military Academy: 200 vacancies (including 25 reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders from Army Wing)
  • Indian Naval Academy: 45 vacancies (including 6 reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders from Naval Wing)
  • Air Force Academy: 32 vacancies

Selection Process

UPSC had initially recommended 4,787 candidates for the written test for Indian Military Academy, 2,921 for Indian Naval Academy, and 595 for Air Force Academy. The final selection of 190 candidates was made after conducting SSB interviews by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.

Important Notes

The medical examination results have not been considered in preparing these merit lists. Additionally, verification of date of birth and educational qualifications is still ongoing by Army Headquarters. All candidates’ selections are provisional until these verifications are completed.

The results are also available on the UPSC website at http://www.upsc.gov.in. However, candidate marks will be published only after the complete process, including the declaration of the final result for Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) for Combined Defence Services Examination (I)-2015.

Additional Information

Some candidates appear in multiple lists for various courses. Candidates are advised to promptly inform Army Headquarters, Naval Headquarters, or Air Headquarters of any address changes. Original certificates supporting date of birth and educational qualifications should be sent to the respective headquarters as per the candidate’s first choice.
