The Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), Bhavnagar has announced a walk-in interview for Project JRF and Project Assistant posts. This recruitment drive offers excellent opportunities for qualified candidates in the field of chemistry and biochemistry.
Total Vacancies
The institute has announced a total of 05 posts across two categories:
- Project JRF/Project Assistant level II (PA-II): 2 Posts
- Project Assistant level I (PA-I): 3 Posts
Post Details and Eligibility
Project JRF/Project Assistant level II (PA-II) – 2 Posts:
- Educational Qualification: M. Sc. in chemistry (one position) and biochemistry (one position) with minimum 55% marks
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years
- Additional Requirement: NET-LS/GATE qualification is required for Project JRF position
Project Assistant level I (PA-I) – 3 Posts:
- Educational Qualification: B. Sc. with chemistry as one of the subjects with minimum 55% marks
- Age Limit: 25 years
Fellowship Details
The fellowship amounts are as follows:
- For PA-II: Rs.12,000/- per month for regular candidates and Rs.14,000/- per month for NET-LS/GATE qualified candidates
- For PA-I: Rs.8,000/- per month initially, which increases to Rs.10,000/- after satisfactory completion of one year

Venue: CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), Bhavnagar
Interested candidates need to appear before the Selection Committee for a written test (only for PA-II) and interview. Candidates must bring the following documents:
- Application on plain paper with full particulars including full name, postal address with email and phone number, date of birth, and educational qualifications and experience (if any)
- Xerox copies of certificates/testimonials
- Original Certificates and Marksheets of educational qualifications
- Original Experience Certificates and Testimonials
- No Objection Certificate from current employer (if employed in Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Organization)
- Declaration of unemployment (if currently unemployed)
