The CSIR – Central Road Research Institute, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, New Delhi has published a notification for recruitment of Technician & Technical Assistant posts through Direct Recruitment.

The institute is looking to fill 20 positions across various technical categories.
Posts and Educational Qualifications
- Technician: 06 Posts
- SSC / 10th Standard with Science subjects with 55% marks plus ITI Certificate in Survey or Engineering / Draftsman (Civil) Engineering or National/State trade certificate in the aforesaid trades (Surveying / Civil Draftsmanship) or two years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institution in aforesaid trades (Surveying / Civil Draftsmanship)
- Technician: 02 Posts
- SSC / 10th Standard with Science subjects with 55% marks plus ITI certificate in Electrician Engg. or National/State trade certificate in aforesaid trade (Electrician Engg.) or two years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institution in the aforesaid trade (Electrician Engg.)
- Technical Assistant: 10 Posts
- 1st class Diploma in Civil Engineering / Tech. of atleast 3 years full time duration or atleast 2 years full time duration in case of lateral admission in Diploma courses or its equivalent with experience of 2 years in the relevant area/field.
- Technical Assistant: 02 Posts
- 1st class Diploma in Electrical Engineering /Tech. of atleast 3 years full time duration or atleast 2 years full time duration in case of lateral admission in Diploma courses or its equivalent with experience of 2 years in the relevant area/field.
Age Limit
Candidates must not exceed 28 years. Age relaxation is available as per Government of India Rules.
Selection Process
Eligible candidates will be called for Written Test / Trade Test / Skill Test. A Screening Committee will review applications and shortlist candidates for these tests.
Application Fee
Rs 500 for General/OBC candidates. No fee for ST/SC/Women/PWD candidates.

- Self attested photocopy of SSC/10th standard/Matriculation or equivalent certificate with mark sheet, showing date of birth
- Self attested photocopy of 10+2 certificate and mark sheet, if applicable
- Self attested photocopy of ITI certificates and mark sheets and/or equivalent qualification prescribed under the post codes T-01 and T-02
- Self attested photocopy of certificates and Mark Sheets of Diploma (year/semester wise) in support of essential qualification prescribed under the post codes TA-01 and TA-02
- Self attested photocopy of certificate and mark sheets for the higher qualification, if any
- Self attested photocopy of caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates. For OBC candidates, the certificate should be in the format prescribed by the Government of India
- Self attested photocopy of disability certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the form prescribed by the Government of India
- Self attested photocopy of experience certificate(s), if applicable
- Experience Certificate and NOC (From Govt./Autonomous Body/Public sector employees), if employed
