BSF Walk in Interview for Specialist Doctor & Medical Officer

Name of the Posts & Educational Qualification
Specialist Doctors:
- A recognized medical qualification included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II or the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1955.
- Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned Specialty as mentioned in Section-A or Section-B of Schedule-VI or equivalent.
- 1.5 years’ experience for Post Graduate Degree holder & 2.5 years for Diploma holder in the concerned specialty after obtaining the Post Graduate Degree/Diploma or equivalent.
General Duty Medical Officer:
- A recognized medical qualification included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II or the Third Schedules should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-Sections [3] of Section [13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Completion of compulsory rotating internship.
Age Limit
Not more than 67 years as on date of interview.
Remuneration
- Specialist Doctors:
- For appointments in ‘A’ class cities: Rs. 64,009/-
- For appointments in ‘B’ Class Cities: Rs. 60,841/-
- For appointments in Unclassified areas: Rs.57,672/-
- General Duty Medical Officers:
- For appointments in ‘A’ Class Cities: Rs.53,025/-
- For appointments in ‘B’ Class Cities: Rs.50,400/-
- For appointments in Unclassified areas: Rs.47,775/-
Selection Process
Selection will be based on personal interview & medical examination.
Medical Examination
Immediately after interview on the same day, candidates will be medically examined by a Board of Medical Officers detailed by the concerned Composite Hospital. Appointment will be subject to medical fitness.

Interested candidates should reach the venue for interview along with original & photocopies of all relevant documents (like Graduate & Post Graduate Degree, age proof and experience certificate etc.) and application in plain paper super-scripting the name of the post applied for and five passport size recent photographs to the given address (various venues mentioned in notification).
