Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Chemical: First Class Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology (AICTE approved) with 60% marks
- Mechanical: First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (AICTE approved) with 60% marks
- Instrumentation: First Class Diploma in Instrument Technology OR Instrumentation & Control OR Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (AICTE approved) with 60% marks
- Note: For SC/OH/HH candidates, the requirement is relaxed to 50% marks
Post Qualification Experience
- Minimum one year post-qualification experience in Refining/Petroleum/Power/Lube/Petrochemical/Fertilizer Industry OR
- One year apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in the same industries
Selection Process
- Written Test: Based on diploma merit, testing technical acumen and generic aptitude
- Skill Test: Qualifying nature test at Kochi
- Medical Test: Pre-employment medical examination as per BPCL and OISD standards
Medical Standards
- Vision: Myopia & Hypermetropia within permissible limits
- Color blindness or squint is not acceptable
- Night blindness and Glaucoma are disqualifications
- Bilateral hearing loss is not acceptable
- Any major medical ailment may disqualify the candidate
