SSC CGL Exam 2021: Notification Released

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the notification for the Combined Graduate Level Exam (CGL) 2021. The registration process is now open and will continue until January 23, 2022. You can apply through the official website at ssc.nic.in.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer:
    Essential: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute
    Desirable: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics
    During probation, direct recruits must qualify the “Subordinate Audit/Accounts Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment
  • Junior Statistical Officer:
    Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; or
    Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level
  • Statistical Investigator Grade-II:
    Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. Candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all three years of the graduation course
  • All other Posts:
    Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent

Age Limit

The age limit varies for different posts in the range of 18-27, 18-30, 18-32 and 20-30 years. The upper age limit is relaxed for notified reserved categories.

Application Fee

  • Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only). Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee

Selection Process

  • SSC CGL Tier-I: Computer Based Examination
  • SSC CGL Tier-II: Computer Based Examination
  • SSC CGL Tier-III: Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper)
  • SSC CGL Tier-IV: Computer Proficiency Test/Data Entry Skill Test (wherever applicable) and Document Verification

Merit list will be prepared based on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations. Final selection will be made based on aggregate marks scored in “Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III examinations” and “preference of posts” exercised by candidates.

Interested and Eligible Candidates can apply online through the link provided. Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the website of SSC Headquarter i.e. https://ssc.nic.in. For detailed instructions, please refer to Annexure-III and Annexure-IV. Sample proforma of One-time Registration and online Application Form are attached as Annexure-IIIA and Annexure-IVA respectively.

  • Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 27-01-2022
  • Dates of ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ including online payment: 28-01-2022 to 01-02-2022 (23:30)
  • Schedule of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I): April, 2022
  • Dates of Tier-II Examination (CBE) & Descriptive Paper (Tier-III): To be notified later
