Forest Guard Exam Syllabus
The Gujarat Forest Department released an official notification for 334 Forest Guard / વનરક્ષક (Class-3) posts in November 2018. The written exam for this position was postponed in December 2018 but is now scheduled for March 2022.

Exam Pattern
- Exam type: MCQ / OMR Based
- Total questions: 100
- Total marks: 200 (2 marks each question)
- Negative marking: 0.25 for each wrong answer
- Total time: 2 hours
- Passing Marks for Forest Guard: 40% (80 Marks)
Forest Guard Written Exam Syllabus 2022
- સામાન્ય જ્ઞાન (General Knowledge) – 25% (50 Marks)
- સામાન્ય ગણિત – 12.5% (25 Marks)
- સામાન્ય ગુજરાતી – 12.5% (25 Marks)
- કુદરતી પરીબળો જેવા કે, પર્યાવરણ તથા ઇકોલોજી, વનસ્પતિ વિષયક જ્ઞાન, વન્યજીવ સૃષ્ટી, જળ, જમીન, ઔષધીય વનસ્પતિ, કાષ્ટ તથા કાષ્ટ આધારિત ઉદ્યોગો, ભૂ-ભૌગોલિક પરીબળો વગેરે – 50% (100 Marks)
