ISRO Recruitment 2016: 185 Assistant & Stenographer Posts Open
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Ahmedabad has released a recruitment notification for 185 positions across various posts.
Available Posts and Qualifications
Three types of positions are available with specific educational requirements:
- Junior Personal Assistants: 154 posts
- Graduation in Arts/Commerce/Management/Science/Computer Applications with First Class as declared by the University. OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial practice with First Class with one year experience as Steno-typist/Stenographer AND A minimum speed of 80 w.p.m in English Stenography WITH Knowledge in the use of Computers.
- Stenographer: 4 posts
- Graduation in Arts/Commerce/Management/Science/Computer Applications with First Class as declared by the University. OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial practice with First Class with one year experience as Steno-typist/Stenographer AND A minimum speed of 80 w.p.m in English Stenography WITH Knowledge in the use of Computers
- Assistants: 27 posts
- Graduation in Arts/Commerce/Management/Science/Computer Applications with First Class, as declared by the University. With knowledge in the use of Computers.
Age Limit and Pay Scale
Candidates must be between 18 to 26 years old as of 11/02/2016. The pay scale is Rs. 5,200-20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2,400/-.
Selection Process and Application Fee
The selection procedure involves initial screening based on academic performance and bio-data. The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and does not automatically make candidates eligible for the written test.
An application fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) is required. After online registration, candidates must download and print the personalized payment challan form from the ISRO system/link. The challan must be submitted at the nearest State Bank of India branch for remittance to Receipt Account No. 32034064593.
