The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released a major recruitment notification for 1289 positions. These roles include Junior Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Library Assistant, and Junior Librarian.

Age Requirements
Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years old. The upper age limit varies by category:
- Open Merit: 40 years
- SC/ST/RBA/ALC/OSC: 43 years
- Physically Challenged: 42 years
- Ex-Serviceman: 48 years
- Government Service/Contractual employees: 40 years
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 350/-. You can pay through online payment gateway (Net banking/Debit Card/Credit Card) or at CSC Connect. Alternatively, you can use a challan at J&K Bank branches.
Educational Qualifications
- Junior Assistant: Graduate degree from a recognized university with typing speed of at least 35 words per minute and a six-month computer certificate course from a recognized institute.
- Laboratory Assistant: Graduate degree from a recognized university with degree/diploma in Library Science.
- Library Assistant: 10th (Metric) with 12th Class (10+2) with science or equivalent from any recognized university/board.
- Junior Librarian: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from a recognized university.
Selection Process
Final selection will be based on an interview.
