East Coast Railway Cultural Quota Recruitment 2018
East Coast Railway has released an official notification for recruitment under the Cultural Quota. They’re hiring 02 talented musicians to fill two important positions.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed 12th (+2) or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate. For NTPC categories, 50% marks are mandatory. However, SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates don’t need to insist on 50% marks if they possess higher qualifications like Graduation/Post Graduation. Candidates with ITI certificate may also apply for Tech-III posts.
Professional cultural qualifications are essential:
- Keyboard/Harmonium Player: Degree/diploma/certificate in Keyboard/Harmonium from a government recognized institute
- Violin/Guitar Player: Degree/diploma/certificate in Violin/Guitar from a government recognized institute
Age Limit:
- UR: 18 to 28 Years
- OBC: 18 to 31 Years
- SC/ST: 18 to 33 Years
Application Fee:
- General and OBC: ₹500/-
- SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, PWDs, Women, Minorities, EBCs (family income < ₹50,000/year): ₹250/-
Fee must be submitted as Demand Draft/Pay Order from any Nationalized Bank or crossed Indian Postal Order.
Selection Process
Final selection will be based on a written test consisting of 50 objective type questions (50 marks) covering General Knowledge, Arithmetic, and Reasoning. The test duration is 60 minutes with negative marking – 1/3 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
