GSET 2018 Official Notification (Gujarat State Eligibility Test)

The Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) 2018 notification has been released for the Assistant Professor position. The Thirteenth Gujarat State Eligibility Test will be conducted on Sunday, 30th September 2018 at six centers: Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Patan and Bhavnagar in 23 subjects.

GSET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree recognized by U.G.C. in a subject of GSET. Those with Post Graduate diploma/certificate from Indian University/Institute or Foreign degree/diploma/certificate from Foreign University/Institute must obtain equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

  • Education Qualification:
  • Candidates with at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from UGC-recognized universities are eligible for Sciences, Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications.
  • Candidates from SEBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / SC / ST / PwD (PH/VH) categories with at least 50% marks (without rounding off) are eligible.
  • Age limit: There is no upper age limit applying in GSET for eligibility of Assistant Professor
  • Application Fees:
  • Rs. 800/- General / SEBC (Non-creamy layer) Candidates
  • Rs. 700/- SC / ST / PWD (PH/VH) / Transgender Candidates

GSET Selection Process

Final Selection will be based on Written Exam.

Scheme of Examination for GSET

  • GSET Examination will consist of two papers.
  • Paper: 1
    • Questions: 50 (all are compulsory)
    • Marks: 100
    • Time: 01 hour
  • Paper: 2
    • Questions: 100 (all are compulsory)
    • Marks: 200
    • Time: 02 hour

  • Starting of Fee Collection: 09/04/2018
