North Eastern Railway (NER) has announced recruitment for 745 Trade Apprenticeship Training posts on a contract basis. This is a full-time opportunity for candidates who have completed their 10th pass or ITI in notified trades.

The recruitment drive includes 745 positions across various workshops in the Gorakhpur division. Here’s the breakdown:
- Mechanical Workshop Gorakhpur: 203 posts
- Signal Workshop Gorakhpur Cantt: 63 posts
- Bridge Workshop Gorakhpur Cantt: 35 posts
- Diesel Shed Izzat Nagar: 60 posts
- Carriage & Wagon Izzat Nagar: 64 posts
- Carriage & Wagon Lucknow Jn: 155 posts
- Diesel Shed Gonda: 90 posts
- Carriage & Wagon Varanasi: 75 posts
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed High School/10th with minimum 50% marks and ITI in notified trade from a recognized board on the date of notification issuance.
Age Limit
The age requirement is between 15 to 24 years as of 29th December 2018. Age relaxations apply: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years, and Divyang (PwD) candidates get up to 10 years relaxation.

- General Category: Rs. 100/-
- SC/ST/Divyang(PwD)/Women: No fee
Selection Process
Selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the High School/10th examination. Candidates can opt for multiple units/places. If merit doesn’t allow first choice allocation, subsequent choices will be considered. Selected candidates must appear for document verification at Gorakhpur with their online application, passport-size photograph, and original certificates. After verification, candidates will undergo medical examination by Railway-certified doctors at the allotted division/unit.
