Privacy Policy — RojgarNews

RojgarNews (“the App”) is a free, anonymous mobile app that lists government job
postings, results, and exam updates sourced from rojgarnews.in.
This policy explains what data the App does — and does not — collect.

1. No Account, No Login

The App does not require registration, login, or any personal account. You can use
every feature — browsing, searching, filtering, saving jobs — without providing your
name, email, phone number, or any other personal identifier.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect or transmit personal data to our servers. The only
data the App reads is public job-listing content from rojgarnews.in.

Stored only on your device (never sent to us):

• Saved/bookmarked jobs — stored locally so you can revisit them offline.
• Recent search history — stored locally to speed up repeat searches.
• Theme preference (dark/light/system) — stored locally.

Uninstalling the App permanently deletes this local data. We have no copy of it and
cannot recover or access it.

3. Push Notifications

The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a Google service, to notify you when
new job postings are published. Notifications are sent to a shared topic
(new_posts) — not to you individually — so no personal identifier is
required or collected by us to deliver them. Google’s handling of the underlying FCM
token is governed by
Google’s Privacy Policy. You can
disable notifications anytime from your device’s app notification settings.

4. Permissions Used

• Internet — required to fetch job listings from rojgarnews.in.
• Notifications (Android 13+) — required to show new-job alerts;
  you may deny this and still use the App fully.

5. Third-Party Services

The App communicates with:

• rojgarnews.in (WordPress REST API) — to fetch job listing
  content only.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — to deliver push
  notifications.

We do not integrate any advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or tracking library inside
the App itself.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties, because we do not
collect personal user data in the first place.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect
personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Changes will be posted on this page
with a revised effective date.
