Indian Army TES Recruitment 2020

The Indian Army has announced the Technical Entry Scheme (TES) 44 Notification 2020 on 10th August 2020. They are looking to fill 90 TES vacancies through this recruitment drive.

Male candidates who have completed their Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with an aggregate of 70% marks are eligible to apply. The age requirement is between 16.5 and 19.5 years. The TES 44 Course will begin in January 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 Examination or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from recognized education boards. The eligibility for calculating PCM percentage from various state/central boards will be based on marks obtained in Class XII only.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age on the first day of the month when the course is due to commence. This means candidates should not be born before 02 July 2001 and not after 01 July 2004 (both days inclusive).

Selection Process

The selection process involves multiple stages. First, applications will be shortlisted based on a cutoff percentage set by the Integrated HQ of MoD (Army). After shortlisting, candidates will receive their center allotment via email.

Only shortlisted candidates will undergo the SSB (Services Selection Board) at one of the following centers: Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka), or Kapurthala (Punjab). The SSB will be conducted by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer, and Interviewing Officer.

The SSB interview consists of two stages. Candidates who clear Stage I proceed to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I are returned on the same day. The entire SSB interview process spans five days.

After clearing Stage II, candidates undergo a medical examination. Those recommended by SSB and declared medically fit receive a Joining Letter for training in order of merit, based on available vacancies.

Finally selected candidates must execute all Bonds/Certificates as prescribed for NDA entry under AI 53/78. Candidates should have no objection to the allotment of any Arm/Service in the organization’s interest.
