UCIL Apprentice Recruitment 2020
Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL), a public sector undertaking under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has announced a major recruitment drive. The company is seeking applications from Ex-ITI [NCVT] candidates for 244 positions of Apprentice Trainees across multiple trades.
Available Trades and Vacancies
The recruitment covers eight different trades with varying numbers of positions:
- Fitter – 80
- Electrician – 80
- Welder [Gas & Electric] – 40
- Turner/Machinist – 15
- Instrument Mechanic – 10
- Mech. Diesel/Mech. MV – 10
- Carpenter – 05
- Plumber – 04
Eligibility Requirements
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Matric/Std. X with minimum 50% aggregate marks for UR/OBC [NCL]/EWS candidates and 45% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates
- ITI Examination in relevant trade with 60% aggregate marks from NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training)
Age Limit
Applicants must be between 18 to 25 years as of November 20, 2020.
Selection Process
The selection will be based purely on merit, considering marks obtained in both Matriculation and ITI examinations.
How to Apply
Interested candidates need to submit their applications in the prescribed format along with the following documents:
- Xerox copy of SSC Board certificate/Matriculation Mark Sheet and proof of date of birth
- ITI pass Certificates and Mark Sheets
- Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC [NCL]/EWS candidates only)
- Medical Certificate (for physically handicapped candidates only)
- Aadhaar Card & Pan Card (Compulsory)
- One self-addressed envelope of size 22cm x 10 cm
