Gujarat High Court Computer Operator Recruitment 2021
The High Court of Gujarat (HCG) is calling for online applications from eligible candidates to fill 19 vacant posts of Computer Operator (Information Technology Cell). These positions come with a pay scale of Rs.19,900-63,200 plus usual allowances as per the rules, on the establishment of the High Court of Gujarat, through direct recruitment.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application/Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized University or Institution recognized by Gujarat/Central Government
- OR 3 years Diploma Course in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent from a recognized Polytechnic Institute
- OR Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University AND Diploma of at least 1 year in Data Entry Operation/Computer Application/Computer Programming from a recognized University or Institution recognized by Gujarat/Central Government
- OR ‘O’ Level Course from DOEACC Society
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 to 35 years of age as on the last date of submitting online application, i.e., 15/02/2021.
Application Fee
Reserved category candidates (SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, PH, Ex-Servicemen) need to pay Rs.250 plus bank charges. All other candidates must pay Rs.500 plus bank charges through the ‘Print Application/Pay Fee’ button via SBI e-Pay on the HC OJAS Portal: https://hc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in
Selection Process
Final selection will be based on three stages:
- Elimination Test (Objective Type MCQs)
- Computer Aided Test
- Viva Voce Test
Scheme of Examination
Elimination Test (100 Marks) – Tentatively on 11/04/2021 (Sunday)
- 100 Multiple Choice Questions, each worth 1 Mark
- Negative marking of 0.33 for wrong answers
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Language: English only (except Gujarati questions)
- Minimum qualifying: 50 Marks
- Syllabus: Computer Knowledge, General Knowledge, English Language, Numeric & Mental Ability, Analytical & Reasoning Skills, Indian History & Geography, Sports, Current Affairs, Gujarati Language
Computer Aided Test (80 Marks) – Tentatively on 02/05/2021 (Sunday)
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Syllabus: Windows & Linux, Microsoft Office & Open Office, Basic Computer Knowledge, Computer Peripheral Basics, Troubleshooting & Installation, Internet Technology
- Minimum qualifying: 40% Marks
Viva Voce Test (20 Marks) – Tentatively in June 2021
- Minimum qualifying: 40%
- Assessment based on General Knowledge, Personality, Communication Skills, and Basic Computer Application Knowledge
