GSSSB MPHW Recruitment 2026-27: Key Details

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has officially announced the recruitment for 100 Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Male) Class-3 positions for the 2026-27 cycle. Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:

  • Successfully completed a minimum one-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic certificate course or Diploma from a government-recognized institution.
  • Passed a minimum one-year Sanitary Inspectors Diploma Course from a government-recognized institution.
  • Passed a minimum one-year certificate course of Health Sanitary Inspectors from an Industrial Training Institute or any other government-recognized institute.
  • Obtained a diploma of Sanitary Inspector or Health Sanitary Inspector from a University established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India.
  • Any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be a deemed University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

Additionally, candidates must possess basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967, and have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age Limit

The age limit for applicants is 18 to 33 years as of July 31, 2026.

Application Fee

The application fee is structured as follows:

  • General Category: ₹500 for the Preliminary Exam and ₹600 for the Main Exam.
  • Reserved, Women, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, PwD, Ex-Servicemen: ₹400 for the Preliminary Exam and ₹500 for the Main Exam.

The fee paid will be refunded to candidates who appear for the examination.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern

The GSSSB follows a two-stage selection process for this technical Class-III post:

  • Written Competitive Exam (CBRT): A computer-based recruitment test consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will be called for original document verification, after which a final merit list will be prepared.

Exam Pattern

The written exam has two parts and a total duration of 3 hours (180 minutes):

  • Part – A (90 Marks):
    • Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation: 30 Questions, 30 Marks.
    • Mathematical Ability / Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Questions, 30 Marks.
    • Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati and English Comprehension: 30 Questions, 30 Marks.
  • Part – B (120 Marks):
    • Questions related to the relevant topic and its applicability.

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must secure at least 40% marks independently in both Part-A and Part-B.

Medium of Exam: The exam will be conducted in English and Gujarati, with subject-specific exceptions applying.
