Indian Post GDS Recruitment 2023: 40889 Vacancies Open
The Indian Postal Department has released a major recruitment notification for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) positions. A total of 40889 vacancies are available across 22 states including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the Secondary School Examination (10th standard) with Mathematics and English as compulsory or elective subjects from any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories in India.
You must also have studied the local language up to Secondary standard as a compulsory or elective subject.
Age Limit
The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 40 years.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs.100/- for all posts. However, female applicants, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants, and Transwomen applicants are exempted from paying the fee.
Selection Process
Selection will be based purely on the marks/data provided by applicants during the final online application submission. The selection is subject to verification of original certificates/mark sheets with the data fed in the online application. Candidates must select a Verifying Authority at the time of application submission. It’s recommended to select the Divisional head of the Division where you’re applying to expedite document verification.
