The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) has published a notification for recruitment on a contract basis. The organization is looking to fill 131 positions across two key posts.
Available Posts and Qualifications
- Assistant Manager (Civil): 31 posts
- Candidates must be GATE qualified for the year 2014
- Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in B.E./B.Tech (Civil) from a government recognized university/institute
- Valid GATE Score in 2014 is mandatory
- Junior Engineer (Civil): 100 posts
- Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized institutes or equivalent
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 to 28 years as on 01/07/2015.
Job Profile
- Assistant Manager/Civil: Works on Metro construction and project management including consultancy
- Junior Engineer/Civil: Handles Metro line/station/viaduct/tunnel construction and supervises civil construction and contractor’s work
Application Fee
Rs. 400/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST/PWD) through SBI payment challan.
Selection Process
- Assistant Manager (Civil): Written Test (two papers) → Group Discussion → Personal Interview → Medical Examination
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Written Test (two papers) → Personal Interview → Medical Examination
Written Test Details
The written test comprises two papers on the same day at the same center:
- Paper I: 120 objective questions in Hindi/English covering General Awareness, Logical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and Discipline knowledge. Duration: 90 minutes with negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong answer
- Paper II: 60 objective questions on General English. Duration: 45 minutes with negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong answer
Only candidates who qualify Paper I and rank high in the merit list will be evaluated for Paper II. Assistant Manager candidates with valid GATE 2014 scores will only be called for written test and subsequent Group Discussion/Interview.
