ISRO Driver Recruitment 2015: 112 Posts Available Across India
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has released a notification for hiring 112 drivers across multiple zones. These positions are available in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Sriharikota, and Thiruvananthapuram.
Available Positions
- Light Vehicle Driver (LVD): 69 posts
- Heavy Vehicle Driver (HVD): 40 posts
- Staff Car Driver (SCD): 3 posts
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: 35 years (as on 24/09/2015)
Educational Qualification: Must have passed SSLC/SSC/Matric/10th Standard
Selection Process
Candidates need to meet the minimum educational requirement to submit their online application. However, this qualification alone doesn’t guarantee eligibility for the written test.
The written test is scheduled for 08.11.2015 at seven venues: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, New Delhi, and Thiruvananthapuram. ISRO reserves the right to change the test venue and reassign candidates to different centers.
Call letters for the written test will be sent by post during the second week of October 2015. Based on written test performance, candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test. Those who qualify the skill test will proceed to the interview stage.
Final selection will be based on performance in all three stages – written test, skill test, and interview. Candidates must secure a minimum of 60% aggregate across all elements to be considered for empanelment in the selection panel, in order of merit.
SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen candidates will receive relaxation as per Government of India orders, except in the skill test where no relaxation is permitted.
