Indian Navy PC & SSC Officer Recruitment 2015
The Indian Navy is inviting applications from unmarried Indian citizens for Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) positions across various branches. The training course begins in June 2016 at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala, Kerala.
Educational Qualifications
Permanent Cadre: Candidates need a Master’s degree in Physics (with Maths in B.Sc), Maths (with Physics in B.Sc), Chemistry, or MA in English/History/Political Science. MCA candidates with Physics or Maths at graduation level are also eligible. Alternatively, BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics & Tele Communication, Electrical, Computer Science, or Information & Technology qualify.
Naval Armament Inspection Cadre: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, Instrumentation, IT, Chemical, Metallurgy, and Aerospace Engineering.
Short Service Commission Officer (Logistics): BE/B.Tech in any discipline with first class, MBA with First Class, B.Sc/B.Com/B.Sc(IT) with first class plus PG Diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Material Management, MCA, or M.Sc (IT) with First Class.
Age Limit
Permanent Cadre: 21 to 25 years (born between 02 July 1991 to 01 July 1995)
NAIC & Logistics: 19 1/2 to 25 years (born between 02 July 1991 to 01 January 1997)
Physical Standards
- Height & Weight: Male – 157 cm, Female – 152 cm with correlated weight as per age
- Eye Sight: 6/6, 6/12 correctable to 6/60, 6/60 with glass. No color/night blindness
- Tattoo: Tribal candidates can have permanent body tattoos anywhere. Others may have tattoos only on inner face or forearms (from inside elbow to wrist end on reverse side of palm/back of hand)

Shortlisted candidates will receive email or SMS notifications for SSB interviews.

Apply online at www.jontindiannavy.gov.in. After submission, print two copies of the application form with the system-generated Application Number. Mail one signed copy with self-attested photograph, attested photocopies of 10th & 12th certificates with mark sheets, and other educational documents to the address below via ordinary post only. Speed post, courier, and registered post won’t be accepted.
