Central Railway Mumbai Scouts & Guides Quota Recruitment 2015

Group ‘C’ Posts (2 Positions)
- Educational Qualification: Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board. Candidates from SC/ST/Ex-servicemen categories or those with higher qualifications (Graduation/Post Graduation) from recognized universities are exempt from the 50% requirement.
- Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 Plus Grade Pay Rs.1900/-
- Age Limit: 18 to 29 years
Erstwhile Group ‘D’ Posts (10 Positions)
- Educational Qualification: 10th passed OR ITI (in trades approved by NCVT) OR equivalent from recognized Educational Board.
- Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 Plus Grade Pay Rs.1800/-
- Age Limit: 18 to 32 years
Scouts and Guides Qualifications Required
- Must be a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
- Must have been an active member of a Scouts Organization for the last 5 years (2010-11 onwards). The Certificate of Activeness should be as per Annexure ‘B’ enclosed.
- Must have attended two events at National Level OR All Indian Railways level AND two events at State level.
Selection Process
Candidates applying in response to the Notification and found eligible for consideration against the Scouts and Guides Quota will be assessed based on the following criteria:

Application Fee
The examination fee for Unreserved & OBC candidates is Rs.100/-. Payment should be made through Indian Postal Order (IPO) from any Post Office, drawn in favor of Senior Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Central Railway, Mumbai.
Fee Exemptions
SC/ST candidates, Ex-Servicemen, Women candidates, Persons with Disabilities, Minority candidates, and candidates belonging to Economically Backward Classes are exempted from payment of examination fees.
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted on A-4 size good quality paper. The application should be filled in English/Hindi language by the applicant in their own handwriting using only English/Hindi. Applications submitted in other languages will be rejected. The applications should be signed in Running Letter. Applications signed in CAPITAL letters will be rejected summarily.
