SBI Recruitment 2016: 17140 Posts Available
State Bank of India (SBI) has released a notification for recruitment across multiple positions. The bank has announced a total of 17,140 vacancies for various roles. Educational Qualifications
- For Junior Associates: You must have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- For Junior Agricultural Associates: You need a Graduation degree in Agriculture or Agriculture allied activities from a Government recognized university or Institute.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 to 28 years old as of 01/04/2016.
Pay Scale
The selected candidates will receive a pay scale of 11765-655/3-13730-815/3-16175-980/4-20095-1145/7-28110-2120/1-30230-1310/1-31540.
Selection Process
The selection process includes three phases:
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
The online test will consist of objective tests worth 100 marks, lasting 1 hour. It includes three sections. You need to qualify in each section by securing passing marks decided by the Bank. Approximately 20 times the number of vacancies (subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Phase II: Main Examination
The Main Examination will be conducted online with objective type questions. The structure includes:
- Each test has separate timing
- Questions in objective tests (except General English) will be bilingual (English & Hindi)
- Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer
- You must pass each objective test and score minimum percentage marks on aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates)
Phase III: Interview
Candidates qualified in the Main Examination will be ranked based on their marks. Only a certain number of candidates will be called for interview in the ratio of maximum 3 candidates for each vacancy. You must score minimum percentage marks in the interview (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS category).
Application Fee
- General/OBC candidates: Rs. 600 (Non-Refundable)
- ST/SC/PWD/EXs candidates: Rs. 100
