The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has called for applications from eligible candidates for the Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination 2018. This recruitment drive offers 398 positions across various security forces.

Eligibility Criteria
- Education Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 20 and 25 years as of August 1, 2018 (born between August 2, 1993, and August 1, 1998).
- Application Fees: Rs. 200 (Female/SC/ST candidates are exempt from payment).
Selection Process
Final selection will be based on Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), Interview & Merit.
Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Written Examination:
- Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks
- Objective type questions in English and Hindi
- Duration: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Paper II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension – 200 Marks
- Essay component can be written in English or Hindi
- Precis Writing, Comprehension, and other communication skills in English only
- Duration: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests: Candidates qualified in the written examination will be called for these tests.
Interview/Personality Test: Candidates qualified in Medical Standards Tests will be called for Interview/Personality Test, carrying 150 marks.
Final Selection/Merit: Merit list will be prepared based on marks in Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.
