National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited online applications for NEET 2020 for MBBS/BDS admission. Candidates interested in NEET 2020 with all eligibility criteria should read the full notification before applying online.

This is the single largest undergraduate medical entrance test for admission to MBBS, BDS and AYUSH courses – BHMS, BAMS, BUMS, B.V.Sc & AH. AIIMS and JIPMER have merged into NEET, eliminating separate entrance exams.

NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • NEET UG Code 01: Candidates appearing in 12th Standard in 2020 with awaited results may apply but won’t be eligible for admission if they don’t pass the qualifying examination with required pass percentage at first round of Counseling.
  • NEET UG Code 02: Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after 12 years study, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (including practical tests) and Mathematics or other elective subject with English at level not less than core course for English as prescribed by NCERT.
  • NEET UG Code 03: Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of Indian University/Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (including practical test) and English as compulsory subject.
  • NEET UG Code 04: Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English after passing Higher Secondary Examination or Pre-University or equivalent examination, including practical test in these subjects and English.
  • NEET UG Code 05: First year of three years’ degree course of recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests, provided examination is University Examination and candidate has passed earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology with English at level not less than core course.
  • NEET UG Code 06: B.Sc. Examination of Indian University with not less than two subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and has passed earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
  • NEET UG Code 07: Any other examination equivalent to Intermediate Science Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology (including practical test) and English. Candidates must have passed qualifying examinations listed above or appearing in qualifying examination in 2016. Must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and obtained minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at qualifying examination as mentioned in clause (2) of regulation 4 on Graduate Medical Education 1997 and must have come in merit list of All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.

Age Limit

  • Candidates must be at least 17 years of age by December 31, 2020 (Born on or before 31.12.2003)

Application Fee

  • General Candidates: Rs. 1500/-
  • EWS, OBC Candidates: Rs. 1400/-
  • SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 800/-
  • PH Candidates: Rs. 800/-
